The deep fried Mars bar

It is said to have been created in 1995 in the Haven Chip Bar (now the Carron) in Stonehaven which is near Aberdeen on Scotland's north east coast.Out of 300 fish and chip shops that had been surveyed in 2004, 22% were selling the Mars bars while 17% had sold them in the past. In the year 2000, chef Ross Kendall added deep fried Mars bars to the menu of Le Chipper, which is a restaurant in Paris. Other delicacies where then deep fried for example; Cream eggs, snickers, Oreo's, Bounty's and even ice cream!
